| Waterproof CaseCustomers write to us all the time asking us to help the find the right waterproof case for their needs. The most important thing to remember in selecting your case, is that its the fit that matters. Some folks use a phone case as a waterproof case for their remote controls - or maybe even for their medication. First think about what you want to use the waterproof case for? Many folks are in search of the perfect case to take on vacation, especially cruises. What all do you need to put in the case? Maybe you want to put in your passport, and some cash - then we recommend a the waterproof passport case. Remember that the Aquapac Keymaster and the PakPak are just too small to fit a passport - even if you try and fold it. So don't pick those for your passport. Maybe you like watching TV from the hottub? Why not put your remote control in a Large Phone Waterproof Case and that remote will work right through the case - and you don't have to worry about it taking a dunk in the hottub. We have even had companies order the Whanganui Small Waterproof Case for larger remote controls for pool lifts and commercial equipment. The next question is - do you need to keep the contents of your waterproof case private - or is it okay for you to use a transparent waterproof case for your gear. If you need a larger case - then choose the Jumbo Waterproof Case but if you need privacy, then you could pick the Seti Waterproof Case. Some folks even use a waterproof camera case for their video cameras. How's that? Well many of the new digital cameras have a video mode, too. What a lightweight easy way to get the shots in any condition. So what does it take to get the fit you need? If you have more than one
item stack them together, measure the width and the thickness and multiply those
numbers by 2, and that will give you the circumference. Then measure the height.
You'll want to pick a case that is larger than your height, then you can pick
the one that is big enough around for your gear.
For instance, lets say you have your cell phone, a passport, and keys. Your cellphone is a little longer than your passport, and it is 6" tall. The passport is 3" wide and stacked together, it's 1" high. So you take 3" + 1" = 4 and multiply that x 2 ... so you're circumference is 8" and the height is 6". The AQP-824 is the right case for you. It fits items up to 7.25" long and 10.5" around. If you're still not sure what waterproof case to pick, we'd be happy to help - just contact us here.
