How do I know what size waterproof case I need?

The easiest way to figure out the case that you need is to measure the item(s) you want to use in the case. Knowing the length of an item and how big around (circumference) it is can help you decide if it will fit through the opening of our cases. In most instances on our website, we show the maximum width and the maximum circumference that will fit in the case. The pictures below help to demonstrate the easiest ways to measure, while we use a camera and a cell phone to measure, the concept can be applied to anything you need to store. 1) Using a cloth tape measure, determine the length of the item you're putting in the case. If you don't have a cloth measuring tape, you can always use a thread or a piece of string, and cut the length you need, and compare that to a ruler or yard stick. To fit in any case the item needs to be no longer than the length listed on the website associated with that item.

2) Next you measure the item around the widest point, based on how the item is going to be inserted into the case.
For the compact camera case, it fits in the bag from left to right -- so the circumference is measured from the front, over the top, down to the bottom and back to the front again.

SPECIAL NOTE: if your camera has a Zoom lens - you must extend the lens to to maximum length, before measuring to determine the circumference.

For the phone, it fits in the bag from top to bottom -- so the circumference is measured from the front to the right, around the back and back to the front again.

If your item has an antenna or some other feature, be sure to take that in consideration when measuring.

This camera will need a case that fits 4 3/4" by 10" in circumference.

This phone will need a case that fits 4" by 5" in circumference.

3) Last, compare the measurements of your items, to the cases' measurements or diagrams, to determine which case is right for you.

After providing waterproof ipod cases for years, CS ideas announces the addition of Drycase Folio waterproof ipad cases that allow full use of touchscreen and controls on the iPad while it’s sealed safely inside. With more than 4 million iPads sold worldwide in the three months up to September (as reported by AFP), more and more owners want to protect their iPad from rain, sand, splash and more, allowing them the freedom to take and use their iPads into nearly any condition.

The Drycase Folio is the first waterproof iPad case with a built-in waterproof speaker mic jack that will allow users to listen and speak through the iPad with a microphone headset.
